Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to share Proteus Fund’s 2023 Annual Report. As our first-ever digital report, we are excited by how this engaging, interactive format reflects the vibrancy of the work we do and the social justice movements we support. It features some of our grantee and fiscal sponsorship partners, sharing in their own words how they advanced their work and grew its impact in 2023.
In the face of the overwhelming assaults on justice and democracy at present, Proteus Fund takes our responsibility in these efforts very seriously, which is the reason we strive to do more with greater impact year after year. We strengthened and grew the many strategic ways in which we support our field partners through grantmaking as well as the many non-grant forms of support we provide. We focused even more intentionally on encouraging cross-movement collaboration and solidarity, promoting the kind of interconnected, action-oriented momentum that it will take to achieve the inclusive, representative democracy that remains our North Star.
